Had lunch at Base on Sunday, we ordered the chicken Parmigiana, steak sandwich and kids cheese pizza. My chicken Parmigiana was very nicely cooked, good portions with chips and salad, salad could of had more dressing on it. The steak sandwich was filling and bursting with flavours. Cheese pizza was just like how my son likes it and good portion size too. Service was good.

Tried Base for the first time to have brunch on a Sunday morning. It was starting to be busy. Staff were very accommodating, the food came quick with good portions and great flavour. Will definitely come back to try the other food on the menu.

This pizza was an absolute delight from the moment the box was opened. The crust, with its perfectly charred, bubbly edges, promised an authentic wood-
fired experience. It was light yet sturdy enough to hold the generous toppings. The base sauce was a vibrant, fresh tomato that wasn't overpowering, and the cheese-creamy mozzarella with a delightful melt complemented it beautifully.
The star of the show was the combination of thinly sliced prosciutto and a fresh pile of peppery arugula. The salty, savory prosciutto contrasted wonderfully with the bright, slightly bitter greens, creating a complex and incredibly balanced flavor profile. A drizzle of olive oil, visible on the cheese, added a final, rich touch.
Every bite was a perfect mix of textures and flavors: the satisfying chew of the crust, the soft cheese, and the crisp bite of the arugula. It's clear a lot of care went into making this pizza, and it truly pays off. Such a warm cozy spot! Most restaurants are cold, and feel uncomfortable. However, it was warm inside, even whilst raining outside.
Extremely impressed with our food and drinks today.
We ordered a bruschetta pizza and meat lovers pizza. Both were delicious, booked perfectly and had great flavour.
We also had a watermelon, and strawberry juice. This was the highlight of my meal, and I will definitely be coming here again for food.
