Excellent baguette and beautiful and delicious Black Forest cake. Zimt is deservedly known for all their wonderful Austrian cakes. They were very busy today but managed well under the pressure with only a slight delay serving my cake.

It is not easy to find Black Forest cake in Melbourne and even harder when it is a good and authentic one. I was very lucky to receive one for my birthday yesterday and it was divine! Soft fluffy sponge, dark rich chocolate and alcohol soaked cherries. The owner and chef, Michael, drawing from his Austrian background baked this cake himself. My partner who ordered it was impressed with the interaction with Michael during the ordering in store and his friendly service. Definitely won’t be our last cake from Zimt!

Great pastry and cake made by Austrian influenced baker. The coffee is quite good too. I like the cafe tucked in the corner and at the end of the shop block with green side strip lawn to the background. They sell seasonal cookies and cakes for Easter and christmas with very nice decorations.

I had my birthday cake today from here - mud chocolate, here! Tasted and presented well. I really like the spinach and risotto pie here- so delicious!

The girls serving are sweet, biscuits and cakes look great but please weekend surcharges! Furthermore what is with the cost of their substandard scorched coffee. $6.05 for a SMALL COFFEE is so wrong! A large at Sugar Art Templestowe is $5.30 and $4.60 at expresso lane Tunstall square Donvale! Both cafes serve amazing coffee with great service every time. I can only assume the increased price is due to the suburb. It sadly isn’t due to quality. Very disappointing
