Was quite good! The custard tarts are fantastic. The classic pie was very tasty and meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. Lots of flavour and worth the drive! Will be happy to return to and try some more of their range. (Update on the update: Tried another type of pie and the cheese pie is INSANELY good. Best I’ve ever had from anywhere. Crispy flakey top and an abundance of flavour, the Bahn Mi was absolutely exquisite) Apple Cake is 100% a must try!!
Every time the Staff have been very cheery, patient and helpful. I know I’ll be back again, I’m sure it’ll be very soon.

Delicious sweet treats at Montmorency Bakehouse! We bought the hedgehog slices, apple slice, chocolate eclair and a brownie. Customer service was great!

I’m a qualified pastry chef and I’ve visited a couple of times, including recently when I checked in and followed up regarding work for 2026. While the situation hasn’t changed, Shaun and his staff were genuinely friendly, respectful, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which I really appreciated.
I completely understand their position and have nothing but respect for the way they handled it — very professional.
I also tried the pie and the spinach & ricotta roll for lunch and they were absolutely delicious — full of flavour and perfectly done and baked to perfection. I haven’t tried the sweet range yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.

May have gone a little overboard on our first visit to Monty bakehouse but it was so worth it! The custard tart and vanilla slice were so delicious, i dont usually like vanilla slices but it was really well balanced. The pull apart breads were so soft and tasty. Same with the fruit scrolls, flavourful, soft, delicious.
I travelled from Adelaide and made it my mission to visit Montmorency Bakehouse bc ive been following their tiktok since day 1. My only regret is that I didnt go earlier in the day to try their pies and savoury foods. Next time im in Melbourne i will be back to try some more food!
