The incredible thing here is that the service is as good as the food. We had coffee scroll and beef pickle and cheese toast. Both are rated 9 ! Loved the funky music too .

Hector has top notch sandwiches. They’re not very big but what lacks in size, they make up in flavor!! Their mushroom sandwich tastes like a vegan Big Mac but their tuna sandwich was 4/5. The frosting on the cinnamon bun is like a cross between proper frosting and yogurt. Seating area is limited (I think 4 small wall tables and a long bar area). Toilets were a tad bit messy and serviettes weren’t stocked up.

A consistently good sandwich at Hector’s Deli. I had the fried mushroom and some pickles on the side, delicious! This location has seating and takeaway options available. If you come in the morning they normally have donuts too! Staff are all very friendly and the kitchen work hard to get out the food quickly.

Visited both Hector’s Bakery & Deli ✅✅ They were good. Maybe not unforgettable, but definitely enjoyable. Even with the constant crowd, the staff are always attentive. The space has a relaxed vibe and feels nicely open.

Hector’s Deli in Richmond is an absolute gem. Every sandwich here is a work of art—freshly made with immense attention to detail, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. The quality is consistent, and you can tell they care deeply about what they serve. Beyond the sandwiches, the bakery items are exquisite. The cinnamon bun in particular stood out—sweet, fluffy, and just the right amount of indulgent. It’s the kind of thing you think about long after you’ve finished it. While the seating area is limited (most of the space is dedicated to their impressively large kitchen), and the wait can be a bit long when it’s busy, it’s always worth it. The vibe is relaxed, the staff are friendly, and the food is top-tier. I’d recommend Hector’s every single time—for a satisfying lunch or a sweet treat. A definite go-to in Richmond!
