Nice little place on Beresford Rd, Lilydale. Good food ,great friendly staff. Nice vibe. Can enjoy your meal inside or outside. Pets are welcome in the outdoor dining area. The food is of high quality. A larger meal menu would make this Cafe even better. If you're in the area stop in for a coffee and/ or a meal.

Spacious and lively cafe. Wide variety of brekky options and great coffee.
Indoor and outdoor seating areas. Wheelchair accessible. Toilets are also available. I tried the scrambled eggs on toast and it was a bit oily and tasted meh.
Would be great if guest wifi was available for people like me who loitered until their workshop finished.

Coffee is great; carrot cake wonderful; servers “sweet” & courteous BUT this time the “greeter” from behind the cash register was rude, unfriendly, inhospitable and stirred me to almost want to accept the challenge and fight her! Definitely not the right personality for this business. Could be why the place was almost empty this time. Won’t be going back !!

My partner and I visited today in hopes of a nice brunch out but it unfortunately ended up subpar at best.
When we arrived we were told to seat ourselves, once seated we waited over 10 minutes for a menu. Once we received the menu it was pretty much dumped in front of us with no opportunity to order coffees as the server had walked away before we got the chance.
The food was okay, other than the fact that it was barely warm and my partner had a dark hair in his. (We’re both blonde).
As much as we wanted to enjoy ourselves we were left feeling disappointed and unhappy with the service provided.

Lilydale General Cafe is exceptional! The food presentation is stunning—each dish is beautifully crafted and tastes incredible. From fresh salads to indulgent desserts, the flavors are unmatched. The service is equally brilliant, with friendly, attentive staff creating a welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit for delicious food and outstanding hospitality!
