Decided to pay this cafe today as it was recommended by a friend. We ordered a Cappuccino and Iced Strawberry Matcha to start with. The coffee was really good, but the Matcha was quite awful — it had some cheap fake strawberry sauce at the bottom and the drink wasn’t sweet enough. It also took a while for our food order to be taken.
Thankfully the food here was really good, my partner ordered the burger which he said was excellent. He really loved the crinkle cut fries that came with it. I had the Mushroom Magic which was also very very good.
One of the biggest letdowns however, is the ambience and environment. We sat inside to start with but it was so loud and noisy that we had to move outside because we couldn’t even hear each other. It was absolutely over stimulating and not at all pleasant for a Sunday morning. Once we moved outside, there was a child running up and down the terrace at high speed, which made the our table and drinks shake quite badly. While this is in no way the cafe’s fault, I feel like staff could have advised the parents to control their child, as a running child around hot beverages is a recipe for disaster.

Such a cute cafe, would recommend the coffee here. The latte I had today was fabulous, one of the best coffees I have had in a long time.
The food was reasonably priced.
I do think they have a small variety on the menu, but they also have perfected the menu to suit their target audience.
It is definitely a vibe. Would recommend!

Caught up with a friend over brunch at this cosy, light-filled spot. We had the beef brisket burger with sweet potato crisps, chilli scramble croissant, ricotta hotcake, and an iced coffee with ice cream. All three meals were nicely presented. The burger and croissant were both nice, and the hotcake was a standout — fluffy, with tart berries that balanced out the sweetness of the compote and fairy floss. We all agreed that Tancks Corner was a relaxed little spot — just right for a laid-back midweek catch-up.
