There are two big reasons to love Baketico.
First, Steve.
Steve runs the place and makes every visit memorable. He’s warm, friendly, and has that rare ability to make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit.
Second, the sausage rolls.
They’re made by Wonder Pies and, honestly, I think they’re the best in Melbourne. Flaky pastry, generous filling, full of flavour—an absolute must-try.
If you’re nearby, Baketico is well worth the stop.

Great hidden gem. Lovely food including vegan options, and even more lovely people. The management are doing something right because the service is fantastic, genuine, warm. Feels like a corner ma and pa shop meets a trendy Melbourne cafe. Enjoyed good food, great coffee and the relaxed vibe. Comfortably sat and caught up with friends for a couple of hours. The location is unassuming as it's a bit out of the way but easy to get to and plenty of street parking around. 1P out front but unlimited from the next block. Looking forward to my next visit and getting through the vegan menu. You can only enter Orr St turning left heading north on Waiora Rd. If you're coming from the north, heading south on Waiora Rd, you can turn right onto Northern Rd and park on Porter Rd

Coffee and food is amazing! Chicken wrap and chia seed breakfast/snack is a favourite. Coffee and bonus biscuit is a lovely surprise to receive!

I can’t recommend this place enough! We had the best pies, sausage rolls, white chocolate and rhubarb muffins and cappuccino! Lovely atmosphere and service also . Fabulous!
