Our son celebrated his 21st birthday with 50 people at Hawthorn Hotel Functions - at the Ethel Room Lounge and Deck. Eve Cook did a fantastic job as Events Mgr! Her bubbly and accomodating personality matched our own excitement at our once a lifetime event for our son. She organised flowers and lights decorations for the tables making the occasion memorable. The raw brick walled rooms and the outside deck with lights was warm and inviting. The 8 Canapés Cocktail Package with bar tab was perfect. The food was excellent and plentiful opening with trays of raw oysters followed by Harissa lamb skewers. Over all, it was a job well done thanks to Eve and the team at Hawthorn Hotel for making our occasion special and memorable. We highly recommend them!

Popped in for a drink with mates on a whim and was pleasantly surprised — the chips were so good! Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely coming back for another round.

Had my 30th birthday here in the function room upstairs - AMAZING. Eve (function manager) was fantastic, she did eveyrthing I asked and more. My event was such a success and a great night. Got so many comments on how great the venue was. Definitely recommend anyone to come here

Came here with a large group for a weekday dinner and they moved some tables together for us which was good. They have a lot more vegan options than the last menu. I ordered the vegan option eggplant parma and it was the best one I've ever had! The vegan cheese was gooey, the chips were crunchy and the salad dressing was tasty. Can't fault it! Service was good too, the staff came around to make sure we weren't waiting on anything.
