Habibi Yala Yala***** is a hidden gem that I found genuine Yemeni cuisine in a cozy market. Having tried numerous Middle Eastern restaurants in Melbourne, I can confidently say this is one of the top two spots for authentic Middle Eastern food in Melbourne so far.
I tried their mandi, which is prepared without oil, relying instead on the lamb's own fat for cooking. This results in a truly authentic taste for the mandi rice. While I felt the portion of meat could be more generous but at $20, I think it’s quite generous.
As an international foodie traveler which impressed me most was no artificial flavors or pre-packaged recipes. The lady behind the kitchen crafts everything from scratch, using her own blend of spices.
I definitely highly recommend visiting Habibi Yala Yala to experience real and authentic Yemeni cuisine.

This is our to go place for our quick night cravings. Mr. Mohammed and his wife are amazing people with very friendly hospitality. Their food is amazing and Mr.Mohammeds magic on lamb and chicken is so delicious and makes us come back again and again.
