A rare late-night dining moment — the food was delicious, the owner was very friendly, and we’ll definitely be back again.

I ordered the grilled eggplant here and it was really disappointing. It cost $8.80, but the portion was extremely small. This was supposed to be one whole eggplant, but it was so tiny that at first I thought it had just been cut in half. It was basically the size of my phone. On top of that, it was covered in so much garlic that you could barely taste or even find the eggplant itself. I understand that prices in Melbourne are high now, but $8.80 for such a tiny amount feels unreasonable. Definitely not worth it.

It is a very unassuming place if you look at the exterior of the restaurant and also the interior set up.. but the food was absolutely banging! We ordered a bunch of stuff, I won't comment on each food item. It suffices to say that they know how to nail flavour and texture. Everything was delicious. One special mention is the signature beef noodles. The soup has great depth of flavour and the texture of the noodles is perfection. Chef's kiss!! Service was excellent - so accommodating and friendly. A local gem that I'm so glad to have discovered!

A happy meal at Yang BBQ Had an excellent first time visit and a no fuss dining experience. Very clean and the engredients are of high quality. Their barbecue flavour is excellent. Their spicy is on the mild side of spicy 😉 and you can add more hot and sweet spices to suit your taste. Their beef skewers are highly recommended. Update 28.08.2024 - Just excellent 👌 Update 01.09.2024 - Round 3 discoveries, mushroom pork ball and fried milk cake. Awesome 😋

Found this place while driving through and very happy we stopped in even with 30 mins before closing they kept welcoming guests in, one very friendly lady took care of the service. We were pleasantly surprised by the flavours and seasoning they did a very good job cooking the squid which was my favourite item of the night. Also enjoyed the pigs feet and all the skewers with all the favourites done quite well. It’s a new place right next to the dominoes pizza and was happy I didn’t have to park inside box hill central with a few street parking available.
