When we walked in we thought it was a dessert place initially. The waitress assured us that they serve Korean food as well. Happy that we came as the food was tasty, particularly the Victory Army Stew (while we ordered the spicy option, it turned out not too spicy at all). The portions were big, so there were lots of leftovers to take home. While we spent around $50 pp, we could have gone with $20 pp and the big serving sizes would have been ample to feed us.
Their Froyo cup was tp die for. We went for the mango flavour. Excellent dessert.
Wasn't keen on the decor, but definitely will return for the food!

Absolutely loved my experience at Behind Merry! The atmosphere is cozy and thoughtfully designed, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. The food and drinks were beautifully presented and tasted just as amazing – every bite was full of flavour. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. A hidden gem that I’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended!

Behind Merry is the coziest Korean street food spot in Melbourne! 🏮 Under a warm clear tent with K-pop playing, we enjoyed a bubbling army stew packed with cheese, ham, and noodles, crispy fried chicken, grilled tteok skewers, and chilled makgeolli. Perfect winter comfort food!
