The kitchen was closed, at 250pm, of course. But coffee machine on, and the range in the cabinets was fantastic!! As a vegan I had options! That was unusual. So bonus star for that. But the coffee wasn't the best, a little bitter, probably the bean or the barista... Maybe over extracted, maybe too dark a roast. I would come back to try though. So next time I get out here, I'll update. The lentil log was great. The slice I had was delicious. Very friendly people, owner especially.

Wow! Hello, real pastry chefs and bakers. This is by far the best bake house in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The pastry! Perfectly baked toasted golden brown with real butter. That’s just the basic croissant. We ordered 2 coffees. Yep, full bodied freshly roasted beans with ample crema. Thick like a foggy mountain morning. Clearing out to a satisfying day. The selection from the counter of hot house made pies and rolls have tempted us on other days. But today we chose the ‘best seller’ cinnamon scroll donut. OMGosh! I had to complain to say how good it was. Because, I will now be comparing everything else to this experience. Fresh, yes. The dough soft, yet angelicly silky and light on texture. Full of toasted flavour. The glaze light and transparent and managed to cover the top like a bridal veil. All the anticipation and hope did not disappoint. A most delightful joy to experience, inside and out. Cool city vibe in the cafe front. Sit in the sun with your pooch or come inside with your human pal. Take a cushion and let your soul be nurtured from the outside in. This is not just a space to pick up a snack. But a place to enjoy the very best our Melbourne, Foot Hills ,Dandenong Ranges has to offer. Come and enjoy it while it’s pumping. You won’t forget Quarry Bake House this place is jumping.

This place is amazing! Very friendly and warm. You always get a hello and a goodbye and that is just a great thing as not all places do that. The young lady with black hair and glasses is very friendly and makes you feel welcome, we have been here before and she has the same good energy everytime! As well as the young girl with red hair is very kind and is great with the costumers, I got a latte when she was on the coffee machine, the latte overall was smooth and creamy so far one of the best coffees I’ve had in a while as I try out different bakery’s for their coffee. Very happy with everything I got and I will definitely be coming back! Keep up the great work at the quarry. You have a forver costumer now! I will be recommending this bakehouse to all of my friends to get a coffee and something to eat.

I had the croissant from Quarry Bakehouse and it was amazing! Perfect balance of crispy layers and soft inside, with a sweet, sugary taste that makes it so tasty. Freshly baked and full of flavor definitely one of the best I’ve tried. Highly recommend this place!

We came to this bakery for a light lunch.
Lucky we were able to grab a table inside.
The three of us had a mushroom pie vegetarian pasty and for myself and almond croissant. The almond croissant was excellent., and the pie very very good. The pasty was full of vegetables but could do a bit more flavour according to my wife even some curry..
Service was friendly and efficient .
