My wife and were visiting our daughter and her partner in Melbourne (we are from Adelaide). It was suggested that we dine at the Kooringal Golf Club Restaurant. Bad decision! There were 4 of us. 3 decided to have porterhouse steak and 1 was having a Chicken Parmi. With out a doubt the worst and toughest steaks all of us had even experienced with the Chicken Parmi also being below standard. This was a very disappointing experience with the food being over priced and of a very poor standard. I would definitely not recommend dining here :-(

Kooringal Golf Course,
Great layout for a golf course, it is a seriously challenging course. It is tree lined and tight, not long but you need to respect the holes with strategic in your position off the tees. The members are very friendly and welcoming. The staff in the proshop are awesome as they remember you even when it's been 12months between visits. They are very knowledgeable and very willing to help. The course is presented very well, and is in very good conditions for the wet winter we are experiencing so far. Greens are fast but also responsive with good approach shots.
Recommend a visit and game. A must to call and make booking first as this is a private run club. The restaurant area is well spaced and very good quality meals are served. Highly recommend a visit.

This is our ‘go to’ place to eat in Altona. The menu is seasonal, which is a refreshing change and using the best ingredients. We love the specials every week showcasing the chefs many dishes that deliver. I always order a lamb dish from the specials. Never disappoints. My go to is a rare porterhouse, a consistent win here.

Ive been playing at Kooringal for 8 weeks, as a guest whilst waiting membership.
FANTASTIC bunch of women on a Tuesday (or any other day)! Pro shop staff are super helpful and friendly. Jody (pro) is amazing...tells it straight, and super coaching style.
Facilities are fab. Course itself is lovely, super fast greens. Back 9 can get quite windy, but it can also rain🤣🤣🤣
