Overall: decent yumcha spot in the west. Classic foods and vibes.
There are not many options for yumcha in the west compared to in the eastern suburbs. This place still offers all the classic yumcha dishes you can expect. I’d say it’s worth a visit if you’re here for the food and the experience, but do not expect great services 😅 Note that they have a 10% weekend surcharge. Parking is available and I’m not sure if a reservation is required, but we called the restaurant a day before to make a reservation. You can choose either the 11:30am slot or the 1pm slot.
Food: pretty decent - not bad, not exceptional. We ordered 8 different items, which came to $114.40 (including the weekend surcharge).
Edit - came here for a second time with a slightly bigger group (6 people) and the food was not as good as the first time - cold and inconsistent. Don’t think I’ll come back for a third time.

Yum Cha from 1130am
Good of fashion family run eatery. You will find the usual Chicken Feet for your collagen cravings, pork ribs, steam & fried dimsim, savoury pastry, various asian small dishes
You will find the usual noisy buzz of chattery laughter as little food carts roll by with very friendly attentive staff offering all the various delights.
Desperately lack of Yum Cha dining restaurants in West Melbourne but I do recommend Gold Leaf as a typical expected Chinese Yum Cha cuisine
Watch out as you can easily blow your budget but welcome to take home leftovers
Dessert:
Custard tart pastry
Mango pudding 🍮
Rainbow 🌈 jelly
Soyabean curd warm ginger syrup is my favourite!
Entrance just off Ballarat Rd actually on Hampshire Rd, plenty of free parking.

Classic chaotic yum cha experience.
Dim sum here is tasty with plenty of variety, served via the busy cart system that adds to the atmosphere but can feel a bit chaotic.
Better for a one-off outing than a regular spot - recommend trying a bit of everything, just keep an eye on the bill.
Works best for groups of friends.

I’m not a fan of this restaurant’s customer service. I waved to get a staff’s attention, and a young lady in her 20s came over and asked, “What do you want?”
Overall though, the food is tasty. They have both heated trolleys and normal trolleys going around, so the food is always hot. The price is a little bit on the expensive side.
