Worst Experience Ever - "Will Never Return".
Super disappointed with my visit at Sabari Saravana Bhavan at Carrum Downs. I had one of the worst dining experiences here. I ordered mango lassi, medu vada, garlic naan, tandoori roti and kadai panner.
Medu Vada - Decent for the price but the coconut chutney had a funny smell.
Garlic Naan - My absolute favourite dish was turned as my nightmare as they just bake the roti in tandoor and apply a garlic paste on top of it.
Roti - It was half baked, my husband with no knowledge of cooking knows the difference between cooked and uncooked roti.
Kadai Panner - It had so much of black pepper in it that there's was no curry taste but I could only taste the spiciness of black pepper. It was not rich in gravy but a bit thin...
Mango Lassi - This was the only thing which didn't have any cons in it.
Don't understand what kind of services do they provide. Gave them feedback especially regarding the garlic naan and instead of taking the feedback they were like it's served with garlic sauce in all places here.

One of the worst dining experiences at Sabari Saravana Bhavan.
We ordered chicken fried rice and butter chicken, and both were extremely disappointing. The chicken in the fried rice tasted old and was very rubbery. The butter chicken was just as bad — the chicken quality was poor and the taste was unpleasant. Overall, the food was horrible and not up to standard at all. Very dissatisfied with the experience.

Very disappointed .We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food quality was extremely poor. The chicken used in the chicken fried rice and butter chicken masala tasted old and seemed to be reheated or recooked. It was not fresh at all.
The service was also very bad. The staff was careless and unresponsive.
Additionally, the hygiene standards were shocking. The washroom near the kitchen was very unhygienic, and I even saw cockroaches roaming around. This is completely unacceptable for any restaurant.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. Serious improvements in food quality, service, and cleanliness are urgently needed.

Place is huge but nothing flashy. They have the room to expand. The decor is average. The food and generosity is amazing. Especially the weekend buffet. Unbeatable value. Lots of dessert and South Indian food. Don't know any of them but good to try.

Dosa and idly are my all-time favourites, and I’ve found one of the best spots for them in this area! The flavours are so authentic and savoury that you simply won’t forget the taste. I also tried the buffet, and it was not only great value for money but also packed with delicious variety and rich flavours. Truly a place worth visiting!
