A cute New York Style pizza place!
Definitely bring your appetite with you, the pizza are quite large. I would say the cheese pizza was the best. While the pans were super tasty in the first bite, they are quite oily.
Sunnyside is definitely not your everyday pizza though as a whole pizza will set you back $58. We also ordered a pan slice ($9) and then a duo ($38) which definitely wasn't worth it as two of the single pan slices would've equalled the whole duo.

Heard rave reviews so went to try.
Best to go as a group to try multiple types of pizza.
Pricey at $8-9 a slice or almost $60 for a whole pizza (though the pizzas are larger than average)
Good taste and quality, friendly service.

Worst customer experience ever. At 12:30pm I had a 45 mins wait for a gluten free pizza (pan cheese) and it then came out burnt (duh) and they put it on the bin! They weren’t going to tell me, but I saw them throwing out a pizza and asked two people and found out as I was stressed and had two toddlers waiting for me at a park with family on a 30 degree day and was getting very frustrated with the “shouldn’t be long” responses. So I grabbed some slices and left without food for my aunt who needed gluten free. Everyone was starving when I got to the park and no one mentioned whether it was great or not. The pizza slices were nice, but everyone working at the restaurant was over worked, understaffed. There was an event of 21 people arriving and the host was very concerned with the lack of communication and fulfillment of agreement; meanwhile the venue had outdoor event, an open to public walk up window, inside dining, and indoor counter service… all with a few workers moving slowly and overstimulated. Not a business model that will last. Nice pizza but not worth the risk if you have any expectations of a professional service. Take a risk or grab a slice and go. That’s all I can recommend.
Gluten Free
Family Friendly

A great place to try New York–style pizza.
I ordered the Sicilian pan deep dish Grandma (tomato and cheese based), the New Mexico (Mexicana), a thin-sliced white truffle and mushroom pizza, and a garlic cheese roll. I enjoyed the Grandma deep dish the most because the tomato flavour was pleasantly rich, though it felt like it was just missing that extra something to make it perfect. The same could be said for the other two pizzas and the garlic cheese roll: good, but not memorably outstanding.
Overall, it’s still one of the best takes on New York–style pizza in Melbourne; it’s far better than Sal’s, though noticeably more expensive. They have pretty nice seating as well.
Expect to spend around $8–9 per slice. Expect a card surcharge.

I was starting to lose hope of finding a pizza that suited my taste in Melbourne—until I discovered this place. They are simply the best. Unlike many other establishments offering an overwhelming variety of options with strange names designed to cater to local preferences, this place keeps it simple with a few well-thought-out choices, each with its own distinctive flavour.
I absolutely love their pizza! Finally, a spot that doesn't serve a piece of burned bread with minimal toppings. The quality here is unmatched.
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. I sincerely wish them continued success and hope they maintain their unique quality. Highly recommend!
