Absolutely loved the food at Desi Dhaba. The Malai Chaap was outstanding — super soft, creamy, and full of rich flavour. Easily one of the best I’ve had. All the dishes we tried were fresh, well-spiced, and tasted very authentic. Portions were generous and great value for money. The overall desi dhaba vibe really adds to the experience. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving quality Indian food.

I went yesterday for a family dinner. It was my second visit in last 6 months and like the previous one this visit's experience was also very pleasant. I made a reservation beforehand but there was enough seating available. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although we had a small accident (a glass fell and broke) the staff was very careful to clean up all the glass around the table and made sure we are safe. Couple of them even tried to cheer my daughter as she was very upset that she broke the glass by mistake.
The food was awesome as usual.

Garlic Naan: 5.5/5 (.5 extra for the size of the naan)

We ordered the Tandoori Platter and Chicken Chow Mein. The chicken was so juicy and succulent; it practically melted in my mouth. The Aam Panna was excellent. I feel like I've missed out on this popular gem for so long! The food and service are amazing definitely the best in the West.

A small suggestion: Service was generally good, though one item was missed and another was initially incorrect; minor issues that can happen occasionally. The Butter Chicken didn’t quite match the taste from previous visits, and the portion size seems to have decreased by bit. A bit of refinement there could enhance an otherwise great experience.

I absolutely love visiting Desi Dhaba in Tarneit! It has become a favourite spot for my family, especially my mother, who is obsessed with their Dhaba-style Dal Makhni. No matter how many other Indian restaurants I suggest, she always says, “Let’s go to Desi Dhaba for my favourite dish!”
The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavour. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and make us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place that combines great taste with such warm service, and Desi Dhaba delivers every single time.
A big thank you to the entire Desi Dhaba Tarneit team for giving us such wonderful dining experiences. We always leave happy and satisfied. Highly recommended!
