I recently visited this restaurant with a group of friends, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service was truly second to none, and the food was outstanding.
For entrées, we ordered the pork belly bites and the octopus, which were absolutely delicious. For the main course, I had the steak with a fresh, vibrant salad. The steak melted in my mouth, and the crisp salad complemented it perfectly.
I would highly recommend visiting and dining here; you won’t be disappointed.

Had the pleasure of dining at The Meat Room in the pretty surrounds of Kilmore for Saturday lunch with a couple of friends, and it was an absolute treat. Every single dish was spot on — tasty, fresh, and delicious. The sourdough alone is worth the trip (I could have happily eaten just that!), and the bakery treats were divine.
The little shop is full of gourmet goodies to take home, which makes it even harder to leave empty-handed. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can tell everything is made with care.
Honestly, the only downside is that we were enjoying ourselves so much we forgot to take photos of the food! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I recently visited TMR restaurant with my wife, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The service was truly second to none, and the food exceeded all expectations.
We enjoyed the salumi, octopus, and flame grilled vegetables with burrata, each dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The salumi, in particular, was phenomenal. James is an extremely accomplished salumiere, and I can personally attest that the accolades and awards he has received are well deserved.
James was also very generous with his time, taking the opportunity to explain parts of the salami making process, which I greatly appreciated as someone eager to learn from a true professional.
Kathy was equally amazing and made us feel welcome from the very beginning from thoughtfully arranging an outdoor table for us and our dog to providing truly outstanding service throughout our visit.
I would highly recommend dining here. It’s an outstanding experience, and you certainly won’t be disappointed.

The staff were very welcoming upon arrival and during service very attentive to all our needs. Even explaining which wine would be a great accompaniment with our meal. The food itself was absolutely delicious and you could see the pride that the chefs had when they were preparing it. Everything about it was a 10/10 for us. Can’t wait to go back

I was lucky enough to secure a table for lunch today via regular customers Jill and Rod. Living in England I had followed Jill's post and as soon as I had booked my trip to Australia I was looking forward to sampling the many delights that The Meat Room has to offer. I was not disappointed. The food, service and ambiance were impeccable. We were greeted warmly by every member of staff we encountered. The service was timely, the food was amazing and far exceeded my already high expectations. Well done to James and his team. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to The Meat Room in Kilmore East. A comfortable 50 minute journey on the v line train from Southern Cross. Just do it. You will not regret it. Do not leave without purchasing their home made salami, sausages, tantalising pastries and freshly baked bread products. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger. "I'll be back"
