Called in for lunch on a Thursday decided to have the $16.90 classic champion burger on special lunch deal. Normally $26.90. Included an ‘warm up’ size Salt and pepper calamari for $19.90. I understand an entree size calamari however I still believe that the tide went out on that dish. Is it worth $19? I think so a little bit expensive. Also, the classic burger I think the burger was actually more suited for a child. The meat patty inside was very very small. Is it shrinkflation didn’t even cover the entire burger bun, or is it because it’s on such a good special that they also have the meat? I have attached some photos for perusal however very disappointed with the visit today sadly other occasions I’ve been quite satisfied but today just a little bit disappointed.
UPDATE: 13/11/25
I received a reply from the manager advising me that head office control portion sizes.
I’m still waiting on the reply from head office.
UPDATE:
16 December 2025.
I did the above, contacted them as asked above only to get a reply from TSG head office saying
"Just to clarify, you had already responded to us on 31 October, and our team followed up with you on 5 November. We wanted to check whether there’s anything further we can assist you with at this stage.
Please feel free to let us know if you need any additional support."
So i contacted them as asked then to be told the following day via email, "is there anything further we can assist you with at this stage?"
I'm confused, I did what you've ask SG

Where do I begin, we ordered garlic bread and it had no flavour. I ordered a porter house steak and it was delicious but I had a small amount of chips. My wife ordered the calamari and they were the smallest calamari we have ever seen. It looks like the serving have been down sized compared to when they first opened. Staff are lovely

Serves really good food, not expensive, great priced cocktails too! Only problem is they do take a lot of time to take your order or come over and ask you if you want to order via the app or if you want table service. If you're hangry or in a rush I highly recommend ordering via scanning the code on the table!

Good food and good price, especially when it is on offer. Today tried porterhouse beef steak. I asked for well done. Should had asked for medium rare, which will taste even smoother and juicier. The porterhouse steak at The Sporting Globe is a thick, juicy cut, perfectly grilled to achieve a charred crust while remaining tender and flavorful inside. It boasts a rich, beefy taste with a satisfying marbling that enhances its juiciness. It’s served with a side of crispy fries and a fresh salad, it makes for a hearty meal that’s sure to satisfy any steak lover like me.

I visited The Sporting Globe Bar and Grill again on Monday for their pork ribs promotion, and I was impressed. The pork ribs are truly the standout dish at this restaurant. Slow-cooked to perfection, the ribs feature tender, fall-off-the-bone meat thanks to the breakdown of connective tissue and collagen. They’re generously coated in a flavorful barbecue sauce, offering a delicious balance of sweet and smoky notes.
On this visit, I found the baby ribs to have the ideal texture, though my friend preferred an even softer, fall-off-the-bone sensation—it’s all about personal preference. Accompanied by sides like coleslaw and fries, the meal is hearty and satisfying, perfectly complementing the vibrant atmosphere of the restaurant.

Excellent place for family get together. The mocktails are amazing and food was excellent. I would avoid chicken perma as it was too dry for us.
Family Friendly
