We went twice during our Melbourne trip and loved everything we ordered. The pizza, lentil curry, grain salad, tacos, everything was amazing. But the standout was definitely the banana tarte: award-winning potential! To the chef: we heard this is only on the temporary menu. Please keep it!! 😃

Service was genuinely good, and our server Alicia deserves credit — she’s only a few shifts in but was warm, attentive, and clearly did her best to make our visit enjoyable. Respect to her. 🙏
Food-wise, mixed experience.
My partner’s Yaki Udon had decent flavor and was the stronger of the two dishes.
Unfortunately, my Burgernator… not so much. I’m guessing it’s a Terminator-inspired burger, but this one should probably be sent back in time and removed from the menu — “Hasta la vista, baby.” 🍔😅
The patty tasted very processed, quite dry, and lacked flavor overall. Easily the low point of the meal.
I don’t enjoy leaving critical feedback, but I think removing or reworking the burger would genuinely improve the menu. With better food consistency, this place could shine more, because the service is already on the right track.

Great atmosphere. The mango lassi and tacos were good. The carbonara was a bit disappointing for my taste, as it was bland and slightly bitter. I’d still come back to try other dishes and hope this one improves.

I really enjoyed this vegan cafe. The food was splendid, with clean flavours and thoughtful seasoning, and it was nicely served with attention to presentation. Portion sizes are big and feel like good value. The menu has a lovely range of options, and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the place is popular. We did have a long wait, although to be fair we arrived at the most popular lunch time, so I expected it to be busy.
My only concern is hygiene, which I hope the team can address quickly. I had to ask to change cutlery at the start, and later I wiped a cup and another cutlery set myself as I was too shy to ask for another change. This suggests the dishwasher is not doing its job properly and likely needs maintenance or replacement. Everything else about the visit was excellent, so it would be great to see this fixed because it lets the kitchen’s great work shine. I would happily come back once the dishwasher issue is sorted, as the food, presentation, and friendly service really stand out.

Always such a treat! 💖 Vegie bar is an institution- the mostly greens is a cult favourite and a crowd pleaser every time, and the list of drinks is always so immersive and exciting. Love the staff, love the service, love the atmosphere, can’t wait for my next visit 🥰 thanks Vegie bar!
