Me and my partner aways love having our coffee at penny & pickle, such a good laid back environment. There was only one lady working today and she did great, barely had to wait despite the large crowd of people ordering, and she was friendly as always. Would love if you guys open up on Sundays!

We visit this café regularly when we’re in the area, and the coffee is consistently excellent with very fair prices. Even with only one staff member working today, the service was quick and the coffee was still fantastic. We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out to see if you open on Sundays! 🙏

We ordered a - cheese toastie, with pickle - egg and bacon croffle - large latte - oat milk chai I was splitting this with my partner and sharing. The cheese toastie half that I ate had one piece of pickle which cost $2 extra to add. We were one of 3 people in the cafe and I watched as the staff member made her own lunch and left whilst forgetting half of our order. No checking whether we had everything we ordered., I had to prompt the staff to make it. The latte was made with re-heated milk (as a ex barista of 10 years I know when milk gets reheated multiple times.) On top of this, Tupac was playing over the speakers with songs like ‘hit em up’ which is a song with many expletives and talking about revenge and fighting and derogatory remarks) As a 4.8 rated cafe I expected there to be a little bit more attention to detail and quality of the food, drink and atmosphere and don’t think that I will be returning to this cafe again should I be in the area.

This place is genuinely amazing. The food was great and the staff were next level friendly. Coffee was excellent too. Get a cheesy egg and bacon Croffel if they are making them it’s a winner. 100% recommend.

Google Parent Tip

Looking for coffee in the area this place stood out. The options for Croffles caught our eye and an alternative to coffee a Turmeric Latte. The kids playing at the back on the mini counter was a little noisy but it kept them engaged without too much screaming. Friendly service and a warm spot for the winter / spring cameo.
