Today on Sunday we had lunch with friends, I really liked the service, the friendly and smiling staff. Very tasty food, reasonable prices for alcohol! Of the disadvantages, it was cool in the hall, when the central door is open, you can feel the wind, this could be fixed.

Really nice atmosphere and lovely restaurant- open fire place large area but not too large or too noisy!
Food was very good and meal sizes large - menu was not too large and only limited specials but had good variety for everyone
Staff were friendly and kind - and very helpful - just not sure referring to a group of women as “gorgeous” or “lovely” felt a bit ….uncomfortable although sure not intentional at all - a very little thing overall as resturant was really good as were staff
While we were not rushed out of the resturant it was empty by 930 pm so we sort of felt we had to leave - our dinners are for our book club so it felt cut short
….In saying that staff were kind and told us to stay so it was more our feeling although it was a Thursday night so surprised the restaurant was empty so early
They allowed us to split the bill so that made it easy too
Overall felt it was a great find and food was good and reasonably priced

I was looking out for romantic restaurants and my partner and i settled on this one. I cant put my finger on it but it is like the staff were disinterested. It started off the way we were greeted at the restaurant entrance.
Being on a restrictive diet, i had to ask what was in the dip, the waitress said she would find out but never came back. The waiter who showed us to our table found out.
My partner made small talk with the waiter trying to explain why he had leftovers, the waiter did not even entertain it.
Then we left and no one acknowledge us when we left. Great way to kill the anniversary vibe.

I had lunch at SOM 13/12, had the steak priced $44.00 have never been so disappointed in a steak, have had better in a pub for a lot less. It was thin, tough, grisly and cold. Marbl do an I Fillet spectacularly 200gr for $52. I have been to SOM so many times that I couldn’t count them, so disappointed in their steak, had their seafood pasta for dinner the previous week for dinner it was fantastic, so was the crème brûlée that I had after my steak. You need to buy better quality steak.

Sons of Mary has incredibly lovely staff who are very attentive. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and stylish—perfect for both casual catch-ups and special occasions. The food is simply delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Highly recommend for anyone in the area looking for a great dining experience.
