Always a delicious meal! I’ve ordered delivery from here many times and have dined in on a handful of occasions. The chicken is always so juicy and flavoursome, the bread is chewy and light, and the rice is fluffy and delicious. The staff are all very friendly - quick and efficient service. Great value for money!

The food here is consistently excellent and very affordable. The chicken is definitely the highlight - juicy, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. I also really enjoy the rice. While the beef and lamb tend to be a bit drier, I’ll definitely return just order all chicken skewers next time.

Great here. Love the food and the place. Came here on a rainy day thinking it would be bad, but this place made me feel like the sun had come out. There is also entertainment such as a TV which plays cricket live etc.

If you’re interested in sampling Afghani cuisine, the heart of Dandenong town centre is the place to be. With several restaurants to choose from, we decided to try this one. It appears to be family-run, with different members pitching in at various times. A great spot for a family dinner – check out what we ordered! The skewer plates are especially good if you’re extra hungry – very satisfying. We’ve updated this post with photos from another visit.

Who knew a plate of rice and grilled meat with a simple side of salad could feed your soul this way. I live an hour’s drive away from here. I happened to be in the area once, I’d never been to Dandenong before, I needed to stop for lunch and I picked this place at random. Ever since then I started regularly coming all the way to Dandenong just to eat at Sahar Takeaway. I have no other reason to come to Dandenong. I don’t know how else to explain it. The food here is just really, really good.
