Dawn Eatery is my favourite cafe in elsternwick - the chef did some of his training at the cordon bleu so although alot of the menu is beautifully Korean influenced they also serve amazing french cakes like Cannelles and Madeleines - it's perfect if you just want a small sweet treat with your coffee and not to indulge too much. I always see the staff chatting away with customers and they really take the time to get to know their regulars - last time I went they asked me my name as I go so often! But I just enjoy supporting businesses that have that familiar feeling and I know they've not been open that long and are really trying to build something great.

Absolutely love Dawn Eatery! The Galbi Sando was tender and full of flavour, and the Sweet Milk Bread with hojicha ice cream was the perfect sweet finish. Drinks like the Sakura Matcha Latte were beautiful and delicious.
Big compliment to the staff for their warm, friendly service, they really made the experience extra special. Highly recommend!

The food is so so, not really special. The Sando is not a really good one compare to other Japanese cafe. The service and environment is ok, except the toilet which is really small, dark and low privacy. The strawberry milkis drink is not cheap, I would suggest having coffee rather than this one as it doesn’t need a lot of technique to make it. The canele taste good but I don’t think I will come again just for this.

I enjoy coming here for their trendy Asian fusion dishes, and it’s a perfect spot for a quick coffee or drink. There's always something fresh and exciting on the menu!

Came here for a quick work lunch session! Very friendly staffs and I got here before the lunch hour rush. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken with Rice lunch set that comes up with a coffee for $20. Good value! I would their rice flavor. Definitely a must try if you are nearby and looking for a lunch place.
