Dropped into Hectors deli before a show and it was so busy, the line was out the door which indicated to me it was good if people are lining up to order. We waited and the order was made and delivered really quick. We started with a choc chip cookie and fresh OJ. Ordered the fresh sandwich, rare beef and chicken salad, and fried chicken bun. Everything was amazing, fresh, every bite was so enjoyable and delicious. Please be patient because the wait is worth it. Amazing food. It’s very tiny so take away is your best option.

I got the beef and pickles toastie (with hectic sauce and cheese) and it was incredibly delicious—probably the best toastie I’ve had! Creamy, perfectly seasoned, tender meat, and served piping hot. I went early in the morning so there were no lines or crowds, and the staff were very nice. They only accept card payments, also they spelled my name wrong, but not a big deal. I also tried the cinnamon roll, which was a bit dry at first but much better when reheated. The toastie was the star of the visit anyway. The dine-in area is spacious enough for a deli café. Definitely recommending this place, and I’d happily come back!

I cannot express how happy it makes me to have a Hector’s so close to work. The sandwiches are always so fresh and delicious. The vibe is fun and the staff are amazing. I take my lunch breaks late which means a couple of times they have run out of the sandwich I wanted and they will always strive to get you what they can and the alternative always ends up better than what you were going to order in the first place! The rare beef and the fried chicken sandwiches are out of this world.

Ordered the Beef & Pickles and Mushroom Melt — both were absolutely delicious.
So good I finished them in no time. Light but satisfying, with crispy bread that doesn’t feel heavy at all.
Easy to eat and dangerously moreish. Great balance of flavour and texture.
