Excellent experience at the Sandringham Hotel. The food was delicious, well presented, and of great quality. The atmosphere is pleasant, comfortable, and perfect for enjoying time with family or friends. The service was outstanding from start to finish. I would especially like to congratulate Vanesa for her excellent customer service. She was friendly, professional, and always attentive, which truly made our visit even better. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

I had a wonderful experience at the restaurant of Sandringham Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I would especially like to highlight Vanesa, who took care of us during our visit. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly made a difference and elevated the entire experience. She was friendly, efficient, and always made sure we felt comfortable and well looked after. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the outstanding service. thanks to Vanesa, made this visit truly memorable. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

I'm on a quest to find the best parma in Melbourne, so I thought I'd try the Sandringham Hotel based on my mum's recommendation. Now, I mean no offense, but I notice a lot of hotels, pubs, inns that do pub+ have a very similar taste. For example, I got the chicken parmigiana (around $28), and kudos to the Sandringham Hotel — it arrived in 5 minutes. Literally fast-food speed! Very impressive, considering there were quite a few people dining in. Sadly, the schnitzel was a tad disappointing. Good crisp on the schnitzel, decently melted cheese, decent quality sauce, tasty herb breading, but the chicken almost tasted reheated. Almost like it was cooked from frozen, or cooked and then placed in the fridge or a cool room before being reheated. I’m assuming it’s the latter, which might explain the super fast wait time as well. The chicken was also a little chewy in areas, which caught me off guard. And as I alluded to at the beginning, I’ve had similar parmas at other establishments that do Pub+. I don’t know if they have the same supplier; it’s a bit hard to say. The chips were quite nice, though, with decent crisp on each chip and very minimal dark spots or blemishes. For the price, I do wish it came with a side of sauce by default. A lot of places don’t, I know, but why not stand out a bit more? Just a suggestion. In conclusion, I was very impressed with the speed. The food could be better, especially the chicken itself, but otherwise, it’s not bad.

We love the Sandy! We visited on December 26, and didnt make a booking. We were lucky enough to be helped by Oscar who went above and beyond to accomodate our family of 6. He even moved tables. Cleaned them up for us asap.. we also then got moved to a better table! He has the best customer service skills that ive experienced for a long time. Nothing was a problem. Then today i called and made a booking with someone else and but had a feeling it wasnt booked in. I rang back and by chance got Oscar who rebooked it for me!!Thank you Oscar you are a real asset and management are lucky to have such a dedicated member on their team! We love ordering small plates of calamari and tacos and grazing! All delicious

I seldom write negative reviews as you can see from my review history, but a number of days later, I feel compelled to. We usually hold my Dad's birthday function at the Sandy and to date it's worked well. Family (over 30) come from interstate and from north, east and south of Melbourne to attend. We arrived on Sunday to find our booking totally messed up - high tables instead of regular (a challenge for a 94 year old with a walker) and spread across more tables than requested (& agreed to/confirmed days earlier by Sandy staff). It took ages for staff to work out what to do and while we were waiting, we just stood in a big obstructive circle near the bar (might have been a good time to offer the "birthday boy" at least, a drink while he waited??) The staff were generally sassy and disinterested. I queued second in line at the bar and waited 15 minutes at least, while I watched staff do other things (some irrelevant to customer service) as the bar queue behind me grew to at least six or seven. The toilets were in a disgusting state, smelly and with the only paper towel in sight strewn all over the floor and wash area. No soap and the benches wet. My Dad reported the disabled toilets were in a similar state. Further, many menu items were unavailable (including steak), so all in all very disappointing. The only redeeming factor of the night was when the food did arrive, the general consensus among our group was it was quite nice. Despite this, we will find somewhere else for his 95th as we will never return to the Sandy.
