I highly recommend this place. The food is genuinely delicious. I’ve tried several well-known Hong Kong restaurants in Glen Waverley and Box Hill, but this one is by far the best. The prices are more affordable compared to other places, and the portion sizes are generous. They also offer set menus at different times, which is a great bonus. On top of that, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is hands down the number one Hong Kong café for me. I truly hope this place stays around forever!

Today is Chinese New Year’s Eve , after work I don’t want to cook, so accidentally found the New Year’s Eve feast on the face book during weekend and ordered through phone. so I chose the 4 dishes of $113 and two other options. I chose the chicken rib, stir fried beef and prawn and green beans and restaurant gave rice and a soup , budget choice for not so big family. We all loved the dishes. Happy New year!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. There is usually a waiting queue. So plan to wait a while to get a seat. There is a vegetable/grocery shop near by if you want to shop till you get a seat. Small place but always packed. Service is very quick. We had a couple of items from the Cheese Baked selections, which is available after 11am. We had a Cheese baked chicken fillet of fried rice with creamy sauce and a Cheese baked pork chop on fried rice with Portuguese sauce. Portuguese sauce is has a curry taste, for anyone who have no idea what that is. Portion sizes are big. Good value for money. We had a Hong Kong style milk tea (does not come with sugar but have sugar satches on the table) and a lemon tea. Overall it was a good experience. Good food. Reasonable prices.

Came here for Thursday lunch and tried the lunch specials — the Cheese Baked Pork Chop with Portuguese Sauce on Fried Rice looked great, and the pork chop was nice and thick. The sauce, however, wasn’t really my favourite and felt a bit too oily, while the rice was on the dry side. Another dish, the Minced Chicken and Pickled Veg with Tofu on Rice, didn’t look very impressive and the portion of chicken mince was quite small — definitely not as satisfying as two big pork chops, though I didn’t get to try the flavour this time. The lunch specials are $18 including a drink (under $5.50), which is great value. The place was packed — barely any empty tables and a long line of people ordering, so clearly it’s very popular, especially among HKers. Even though the dishes I had weren’t exactly my taste, I can see why people love this spot. I’ll definitely consider coming back to try other dishes next time!

Google Parent Tip

My partner had been searching for a good Hong Kong-style restaurant in Melbourne for a while, and this one brought back a lot of childhood memories for him. The flavors were comforting and familiar, just like the meals he grew up with. He said the portions were generous, the prices were fair, and even the presentation matched what he remembered. It was really special to see him reconnect with those long-missed tastes.
