The staff here were absolutely amazing — from getting us seated, taking our orders, bringing extra cutlery and water to the table, right through to taking payment. The entire experience was met with outstanding customer service even whilst being super busy.
The food was so delicious and full of flavour, yet really well balanced. Everything felt thoughtfully made to complement each other within the meal. The portion sizes were massive! My friend and I shared the ramen and the cinnamon waffles, and we were completely stuffed.
The atmosphere was quite loud and busy on the day we went, which honestly felt like a good sign — it was clearly popular and buzzing. There was outdoor seating both at the front and the back, plus plenty of seating inside. The venue itself is so aesthetically pleasing: a cute little fireplace, lots of plants, and a super cosy, welcoming vibe.
Even though it’s quite far from where I’m located, I’d definitely make the trip back again. Highly recommend trying this place if you haven’t already — well worth it!

Possibly my favourite brunch cafe in Melbourne.
Perfect for brunch, lunch or coffee and cake.
Lovely outdoor area.
Lots of vegan options.
They make the most delicious Chai lattes, cakes.

Tried to pop by here a few months back but it was too busy so had some luck this time 😊 was hard to decide what to order all the options sounded so good! In the end we went with a brekkie chorizo burrito and a Birra burrito which were both super tasty and generous in serving size. The coffees a latte and batch brew were great too!
Good place to stop of exploring the Dandenong mountains for sure.

I found Maria’s Café completely by accident and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was genuinely lovely. It’s one of those places you stumble across and instantly know you’ll be back.
I’ll definitely be spreading the word — this little café is a gem worth sharing!

What a hidden gem in Upwey! We caught up with friends and I took the opportunity to pick somewhere neither of us had gone to before and was so pleasantly surprised. The place was alive and it really added to it all. Do not sleep on their special carrot cake inspired foam latte even though it's iced it was ammmmaaaazing! Oh the food is top notched and well priced. Absolutely no food envy on the table as everything we ordered was spectacular. I also think it's well priced for the quality and portion size. I'll be dreaming of their guac 🥑 for days to come.
