We had the most wonderful time at The Blacksmith Café’s cake-decorating afternoon. It was such a fun, relaxed experience — perfect for anyone who loves being creative (or just loves cake!).
Everything was beautifully organised, with all the tools, decorations, and ingredients provided. The setup made it easy for everyone to join in, no matter their skill level. And the best part? The cakes and toppings were absolutely delicious.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly, encouraging, and happy to help. It was the kind of afternoon that leaves you smiling long after you’re done.
Highly recommend for a fun activity with friends, family, or even a special treat for yourself.

A great cafe with tasty meals & good service.
The chilli scramble has 2 pieces of toast which is great ( many cafes dont) making a mire filling meal.
The Nourish bowl was excellent

Absolutely delicious vegetarian food!! We had the nourish bowl and the lion's mane 'steak' sandwich. Both so yummy and presented well.

We went to this cafe on the 31st of December because the cafe we wanted to go to was closed. On Google Maps it seemed they had a few vegan options. When there, there was pretty much no table service and you have to do everything yourself. When asked for cutlery because the cutlery on the table was dirty, the waiter pointed to where the cutlery was but the container was empty.
The only vegan option was the nourish bowl. I like eating as healthily as possible but putting half a can of chickpeas in a bowl isn’t a meal. It really didn’t have enough other things added and there’s so much you can do with chickpeas. Also, maybe add some hummus. The arancini balls were nice though. The burgers you could make veg if you changed the patty but the you’d have to take off loads of other ingredients and then pay more to add avocado for example. How hard is it to just have a vegan option for a burger? I get that Belgrave is a bit like a small town and thus a bit behind, but come on…
