I first visited Riwayat in Perth with my cousin and loved the food, so I decided to celebrate my birthday at their Melbourne branch. The staff was welcoming, and the service was excellent. I had friends who are both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and everyone was impressed as the food in both options was equally delicious. The restaurant’s unique Asian village-style touch, with manjis to sit on, made the experience even more special. The manager and staff made sure we felt comfortable, and with BYO drinks, it turned into a perfect evening. Highly recommended for quality food and memorable dining.

Riwayat Pakistani Restaurant in Melbourne is an absolute gem! We tried the Starter platter, Lahori Chicken Kadhai, Butt Mutton Kadhai, along with Roghni Naan and sweet lassi—and honestly, everything was outstanding. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and truly authentic Pakistani taste. You can really tell the food is cooked with passion and tradition.
The kadhai dishes were full of aroma and spice, the roghni naan was soft and fresh, and the sweet lassi was the perfect complement to the meal. And a special mention for their chai—it’s a must try and a perfect way to end the experience.
The restaurant is quite big, spacious, and comfortable, making it great for families and groups. The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole dining experience even better.
Highly recommended—100% you should try their food if you love real Pakistani cuisine. Will definitely be coming back again!

Thank you for a great introduction to Pakistani food! One of the staff, Arshdeep, was so helpful and willing to help us decide on which dishes to try. They catered well to our spice level (extra hot) and even updated us on the availability of a dish we wanted to try, mid meal, so we could order it and try! Thank you!

Food is great, some items are not their strongest menu items. Area is very good. Free big car park and huge sitting area is a plus. Paye, chicken roll, chapli kabab . Not a fan. But nihari, naan great taste. Sweet lassi is just a grinded yoghurt.

If you love authentic Pakistani food, Best Goat Karahi is a must visit. The goat karahi was fresh, tender, and full of rich spices, cooked perfectly just like traditional desi style. The gravy was thick and flavorful.itself makes you hungry 🤤best serve by Arshdeep kaur
