Went there with a group of 8 guys. We had a good time. Not too strenuous but still a good work out.. maybe we will push it harder next time. Had a beer and hot dog there which was tasty. Cost once we split up was 13 bucks for about 1 hour.. so wasn't too bad. Worth it if you have not tried.

Pretty good venue for the area. One of the beauties is you don't need an app to book courts. Can get expensive for weekends @ 60 an hour. Courts are decent actually, love that the nets are in ground vs on wheels. Really nice and open design and plenty of space for families to chill out, eat and relax. One of the differences compared to other places. Toilets on the far end can be difficult to get to if other people are on courts, just need to wait. Baseline space is pretty limited. Parking can get hectic with the other businesses around.

We decided to give this place a go as its school holidays and we are avoiding normal playcentres. We didn't go to play pickleball- but there are 3 courts there for those who are playing. We went to check out the new play zone for under 8s. It certainly looks fun, but its playability is limited, not the best design. There is only 1 way up each level, and there isn't much to 'do' on each level. No slides (what an error) and the climbing wall photographs nicely.... but isn't very user friendly for under 8s- only the net is ok. There is a speaker in the wall at the top level BLASTING music making it impossible to be up there, definitely not ok for young kids ear health. It needs to moved or just get rid of it. Food was expensive and really large kids meals. Honestly, share 1 nugget meal between 2 and BYO drinks as they have no kids drinks. I was pretty annoyed at having to pay for my 10month old to toddled around the floor and urge them to adopt the free under 12months most centres. There is nothing for kids younger than 3 to do. Our 4 yr olds can spend all day at a playcentre, but we were only here for an hr including food. I suppose it works if a parent is playing pickleball, but I wouldn't reconmend as an alternative to crowded playcentres. All up I paid $20 for 2 kids to play and another $45 for a kids nugget meal, adult snack meal, coffee and drink.

Royal Pickle Club is a fantastic new spot to have some fun in Carrum Downs! As a first-timer to pickleball, I was impressed by how welcoming and enjoyable the experience was. The venue boasts three well-maintained courts suitable for all skill levels. They have rules for you to look at if you’re a newbie like me, or you can simply ask the lovely staff for some guidance. What really stands out is how kid-friendly it is. The menu offers delicious options that appeal to both children and adults. It's an ideal location for birthday parties or family outings, with great packages available for private events. The bar area adds a nice touch for adults, serving craft beers and cocktails in a relaxed yet lively atmosphere. They are open early and have coffees with a bite to eat if you’re heading there before work. Booking a court is a breeze through their online system. They also have memberships which work out cheaper to play pickle ball on the regular. The staff are exceptionally friendly and create a warm, community-oriented vibe. Whether you're looking for a fun night out or a unique family activity, Royal Pickle Club delivers. It's a perfect blend of sports, food, and entertainment for all ages. Highly recommend giving pickleball a try here!

We went for Pickleball, the courts (and the venue in general) are really cute and nicely decorated but the space around the courts is way too small. Literally less than 1 meter from the baseline to the wall behind you. Suitable for mucking around / drunk pickleball or something taking the kids and family etc but I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to try and play proper games. Pretty expensive too, $60 an hr with 2 paddles and 1 ball. There are other venues offering $40 an hr and under with unlimited paddle and balls.
