Previous to last month, I would have given this woolworths a five star rating for the awesome staff who served me every fortnight, with my huge amount of shopping and while I always got the 'we are closing soon and need to start scanning through your items' warning, i had never felt unwelcome or a 'inconvenience' to them. However, this changed approx 5-6 weeks ago when I was served by a new staff member who appears to be in a management role. Staff had always opened up a register for me, knowing how much shopping I usually have but the first night I met the new staff member I wasn't really greeted at all and without acknowledging me, told the self serve checkout staff to put me through self checkouts.... with TWO full trolleys! They tried telling the new person that i had 'alot' but still without looking at me or my trolleys, looked rather annoyed and signalled that I should unload at the express checkout. 😯 Just as I was about to begin unloading, she realised what I was about to do and ushered me to checkout 3. Now, I normally leave plenty of time for the staff to scan my items, but with this moving back and forth, she had wasted almost 8 min. As she began SLOWLY scanning, another staff arrived to help bag the items and was told 'dont bag everything'. Um....I had plenty of bags and id rather have most things in bags for easy transport. As she scanned, she made rude comments about how I should not do this at this time. I cannot buy this much so late. And about the register starting to freeze up, as though it was my fault. As we went past closing time while scanning....she instructed the other staff to go. And began carelessly putting all and anything into bags together. Making me feel again, like a problem for her. When leaving, she again commented that I can't do this so late... Similar to this happened the next fortnight. I am grateful that the old staff treated me in a lovely manner and never made me feel bad for shopping for 7 people so late at night, which is really the only time I get free to do it. The new 'manager' needs some lessons in customer service and general mannerisms.

I really love the afternoon and night shifts. I don't understand Managers finishing early as its bad leadership. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Shop is clean. Haven't been there during the day but your supervisors and night staff are exceptional and deserve recognition. Managers do better.

I recently moved to the area and started using Click & Collect for convenience. My first few experiences were great, but unfortunately, the service has noticeably declined—particularly during my usual pickup time on Sundays between 4pm and 8pm. I hope someone in a management position sees this and takes the feedback on board. Lately, the staff member working this shift—who appears to be the only one on duty—has shown little to no customer service. There’s no greeting, no smile, and it often feels like you’re inconveniencing her. After confirming your name, she simply drops the trolley behind your car and watches as you load everything yourself. To be clear, I don’t expect staff to load my groceries—but the app does instruct customers to remain in their car with the boot open, stating that someone will load the groceries for you. Out of courtesy, I usually get out to help, but it’s disheartening when the staff member doesn’t offer any assistance or even acknowledge the effort. I’ve used Click & Collect at many other Woolworths locations, and the service is consistently better elsewhere. I honestly didn’t expect this level of indifference in a small country town—where I thought community spirit and helpfulness were still valued. Woolworths, there’s definitely room for improvement here.
