Nobu Melbourne

Purchased $180 omakase menu and just like others I was expecting more but underwhelmed with the food. There wasn't much of a wow factor or value for money. To be honest I won't be coming back here but the service was alright. I had one great server though.

Went to Nobu for my pre-birthday dinner. We really enjoyed it! The food was sooo good and beautifully presented. The sake was also very good. Great atmosphere and perfect for a special occasion 😊

So we scheduled the tasting menu and when we arrived I asked about dairy. The absolutely wonderful server was like… no they got milk in all that. She then proceeded to just sequence a tasting menu without dairy for us. Holy smokes. 10/10 service and atmosphere.

Nice venue. Downstairs is definitely much nicer and more ambient. Much better for a private celebration or birthday dinner. The food was good. The sushi was surprisingly underwhelming (bad to be blunt - hard and chewy) which is surprising for such a high end restaurant with a good reputation. In fairness that was somewhat made up for by the cod, short rib, wagyu dumplings and pork belly. The food was fairly good overall. Although that's expected when the bill for 4 of us was $650. Very good service and the cocktails at Nobu are very good. Great place to have a drink with friends even after a night in the city or the casino.

It was our first time dining at Nobu, and we left really happy. We were lucky to be served by Shannon, whose service was lovely: attentive and friendly without being too much, and helpful with any questions we had :) We never had to wait for anything. We also liked that each dish came out one at a time, which made the experience feel relaxed and let us enjoy each dish properly. Overall, we thought the prices were reasonable for the quality, from the food to the service and atmosphere.
