We happened to stop by for dinner after visiting a nearby park. Since it was still early in the evening, we were lucky enough to get a table as a walk-in.
As we enjoyed the food, it reminded us of the American-Japanese cuisine we used to have in the US — a nostalgic and comforting taste for both my husband and me.
The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely.
We’ll definitely be coming back again.

ONLY SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER HAD PROPER JAPANESE FOOD. Everything was bad and poorly done. The chopsticks were far too heavy and awkward to use, making it hard to pick up food. The tempura was oversized and strangely presented, with huge chunks — including a big piece of kale like the one in the photo.
Things got even worse when we tried the sashimi. When I picked it up, the rice fell apart and scattered all over the plate, and it happened for all the other pieces. Some slices of sashimi were so thin they were almost transparent, while others were so thick. The fish wasn’t properly prepared and still had scales on it. The seaweed used for the sushi was tough and chewy. It was so bad it didn’t even reach an average standard.
The last dish, the beef rice bowl, was just as disappointing.
For a price of over $110 for three dishes, this was extremely poor value and a huge let-down in quality.

Solid Japanese food! We ordered a variety of seafood dishes, all of which were fresh and flavourful. Tried the beef tataki as well, though it was sliced a bit too thin which took away some of the flavor. Still, it wasn’t bad.

All the food and drinks we got are absolutely amazing!!
Worth the visit and we will definitely coming back if I travel around this area. The staff and chef is very nice!

Delicious food but seems insufficient staff both for waitress and kitchen. We visited on weekday for dinner and wait for a long time to have all food served.
