We went out for a friend's birthday and the drive was gorgeous, beautiful location. Both interior and exterior have beautiful decor, sets a wonderful vibe for a classic English pub.
Not a huge wait for the food, flavours were wholesome and wonderful.
Pistachio crusted pork with apple and spinach mash was incredible, delicious jus to go with it as well.
Pommy Platter was flavourful and gorgeously presented, chips were to die for.
Sticky date pudding was probably the best one I've ever had, soft and sweet and perfectly spiced with icecream to cool your mouth down, piping hot and smells so good.
Lemon mirangue pie was a masterpiece, soft and fluffy with a delicious crust. Very very rich, zesty and sweet.
Kids ham and cheese pizza was a bit odd though, large slices of ham left whole kind of pulls everything else off when you take a bite and apparently the flavours were a bit off.
Moscow Mule slush was refreshing and served very pretty, lemon lime and bitters was fresh and sweet.
It was a bit warm inside, not super good temp control so I wouldn't go on super hot day, but other than that a gorgeous place and we'll definitely come back!

We visited the Pig & Whistle Tavern in Olinda recently and it was exactly what we hoped for — warm, relaxed, and absolutely satisfying.
From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming. The classic English‑tavern décor, the wooden beams, the fireplace crackling in winter, it all gives the pub real character. The staff were friendly and made me feel right at home.
We tried the Chicken Parma and The Bangers and Mash! Huge portion, cooked well, with great flavour. The sides were generous, and the seasoning was spot on. The beer selection is impressive too: 16 taps with both local and imported brews, so you’ve got good options to pair with your meal.
The ambience is lovely — it can get pretty busy and noisy (but in a good way, it adds to the pub vibe rather than being disruptive). If you're after a quieter experience, going earlier in the day or off-peak helps.
Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and great value. If you find yourself in the Ranges craving hearty comfort food and a good drink, Pig & Whistle hits the mark. Highly recommend.
We will be back.

British style pub with a warm welcome
The staff were amazing, professional and friendly
The decor of the pub takes you to a different era - you might also think that this is not Australia - an authentic British pub
Food was excellent
I had an Italian parmigiana which was a big portion - ideal to share between a couple or with a child
Chips were delicious
Their sausage platter was original
My friend loved her halloumi burger
The drinks were oooh my god - mind blowing
First time in a while I could really feel the tequila in the margarita and also the Fresh lime juice
Highly recommend

This Pig and Whistle is the classic traditional English Pub.
Namesakes all over the world, we have been to many, including Brisbane and Cape Town.
The Menu and food is really good. We had the Pommy Platter, Pot Pie, and Traditional Parma.
A wide variety of beers on tap, we poured a few!
Staff super friendly and efficient.
Well recommended :)
We will be back...
Thank you!

First time and found this restaurant a Beautiful warm and cosy atmosphere on a winters day. Staff are wonderful. All three Parmigiana’s were different yet full of flavours. Totally enjoyed my Italian Parma, salad was plentiful, chips were all crunchy and the chicken was superb 😋👌Reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. Will need to return as I noticed the desserts from nearby patrons were good sized and looking delicious.
