Bland and lacks crisp. The pastry was undercooked and the sides were something you'd throw together when your pantry is empty. The pie top was fluffy, but it wasn't golden brown. Fillings were minimal, lacking flavour. Peas and chips were just frozen and boiled / put in the oven. Two pies and a side - $38. Furthermore, one of the wait staff was extremely rude. She tripped over my foot and started yelling at me with a condescending tone. She argued my foot was all the way extended (which it wasn't), and if she saw where my foot was, wouldn't she have tried to avoid it? Avoid.

Not what it used to be. I remember my dad taking me here in the 90s and it being awesome. Having taken 6 of us here today, it's definitely not how I remember it. Fillings were light-on and 6 pies w/ chips took 25 minutes to come out. No, they were not busy. The photo below is what $19.20, including weekend surcharge, looks like. Granted, I'm far from being a good photographer.

Google Parent Tip

Rude rude rude! Expensive, overpriced & servo pies taste better. Save your dollars and go buy a pie from your local servo. The peas are cheap , overcooked frozen peas, the potato tastes like cheap knock off powdered potato (not edible) and the pies are only edible by washing them down with watered down home brand sauce, and lots of it! I only forced the family to eat part of their meal because I paid over $120 for this muck on a plate. They put up gold medal pies, but any pie would qualify as a gold medal pie after eating here. Nothing to boast about! On a positive note, they didn’t mess up the water, that was drinkable! The tired owner needs to shut up shop, or put in more young, vibrant, energetic managers who can turn this place around. It’s gone downhill from the place it was years ago! They are lucky that I didn’t ask for a full refund!

We had a disappointing experience with our recent takeaway order. We ordered two Chicken & Mushroom pies and two Tandoori Chicken pies for takeaway. When collecting the order, we double-checked with the cashier to confirm it was correct. He assured us everything was in the box. However, when we got home, we discovered that instead of the two Chicken & Mushroom pies, we were given two Beef & Mushroom pies. We do not eat beef due to religious reasons, so this mistake was not only frustrating but also deeply disrespectful. In addition, the staff was noticeably rude during the interaction when confirming it was the right order, which made the experience even more unpleasant. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and steps are taken to improve both order accuracy and customer service.

Four of us came here at 10.55am today. There were no other guests and I put my camera on the next empty table. The waitress was rude and told me to put my expensive equipment on the floor instead. The pies were not as good as before. Quite ordinary, nothing to shout about. The guy cashier was ok, he was pleasant and polite.
