Is this the best value buffet in Melbourne?!
@braybrookhotel is a bistro, sports bar and kids zone on Ballarat Road in Braybrook. It’s been around since way back in 1854, i’ve driven past a million times and had no idea what was inside!
They run an International Buffet for lunch and dinner with over 40 dishes including seafood, carvery, soups, salads, pastas and desserts. Freshly prepped, constantly replenished, everything clean and tidy and plates cleared so quickly.
Our favourite dishes were the roasts, dolmades, calamari (fried and salt and pepper), lasagna and the sticky date pudding for dessert.
The value here genuinely blew us away. Depending on the day, lunch is $37-46 and dinner $42-46, with cheaper pricing for kids and under 4s eat free. The kids playground area is huge, there’s a toddler zone and face painting every Saturday.
Will definitely be back. You cannot beat this pricing for the quality and variety. Some things were better than others, I think the desserts and Asian offerings could be better. It was packed when we went and they often book out, so I recommend making a reservation. Keep an eye out for their themed nights coming up!

Excellent venue, the food was fresh, tasty and had a very large and varied selection. Enough room to spread out a bit, I'd imagine it does have busy times but when we went there, the queue moved quite fast considering. Great play area for the kids upstairs and ccTVs in the dinning area allowed parents to keep tabs on their kid's. Definitely planning on going back, great value for money!

The food was okay, the price is justifiable with the quality. The variety was alright, not an existential amount but had quite a lot of different cuisines. There is plenty of food for kids, as well as more refined tastes for adults. The actual quality of the food was alright, nothing too gourmet, but it was nice. The staff was really friendly, easy and quick entry. I went on a Thursday night at opening and wasn't too busy. I would recommend booking as I know it gets busy. The place is kept really clean and has a big playground for kids. There's a bar as well with decent prices. The dessert bar is pretty nice with a bit of variety. Overall pretty good but not the best I've been too.

5 Stars – Easter Buffet Lunch
We had an amazing Easter buffet lunch with family at Braybrook Hotel. The food was fresh with a huge variety – the roast carvery was a standout. The dessert bar was a hit for both kids and adults!
Even with the big crowd, the staff were outstanding – friendly, calm, and full of festive touches like handing out eggs and a visit from the Easter Bunny. The kids zone was huge and kept the little ones entertained for ages.
Their online booking system was smooth and easy to use, and the way they managed check-ins, seating, and lines made the day run really well. Everything felt well-organised, even at peak busy times.
Highly recommend
