Katik is often called the best adana in Melbourne, and I can confidently say it is the best adana I have had in Australia so far. I have tried a few in Adelaide and several around Melbourne, and this one easily tops them.
What makes it stand out for me is the bread. It is incredibly soft, and the adana itself is very flavourful, which complements the bread perfectly. A lot of places either lack flavour in the meat or use bread that is too thick and overpowering, but Katik gets the balance right.
I also ordered a mixed grill plate to try the kebab meat and the chicken. The chicken was definitely better than the lamb, though both were still good. It was fairly standard spit-style meat, nothing overly special, but solid and enjoyable.
I also tried one of their pastries, which reminded me of a very thin, crispy pizza base with sun-dried or dried tomato flavours. Very subtle, but when paired with greens and a hint of lemon it worked well. It reminded me of something you would get at places like A1 Bakery, but this was a style I had not tried before alongside adana.
Two adanas, a mixed grill plate, two drinks, and a pastry came to around $40 to $50, which is solid value in this economy. Definitely a place I would return to.
That said, if I did not live in the area, I am not sure I would go out of my way just for it. But if you love food and want to try what is, in my opinion, one of the best adanas in Melbourne, this place is worth checking out. If you are more of a casual eater, it is probably not somewhere you would travel across the city just for.

Best kebabs, Adana and pides. I've come down twice from Sydney just to have a kebab. Lovely bunch of people who make your food. In-house bread which they make and bloody tastes the best.
I'm already planning another trip to come down later in the year inshaAllah.
Katik is always busy so be prepared to wait but it's so worth the wait 😋
I'm drooling just writing this review while in Sydney 😭😭

Came here at 11am on a Saturday and man it was hectic! The staff was moving at lightning speed to deliver a mega order, 2 boxes full of the wraps, all I can see is generous portions of salad and meat served onto Turkish bread and wrapped up Like their livelihoods depended on it. We ordered the Adana plate, lamb Shish plate, Samsun pide and egg and cheese pide. Boy the life’s were made fresh and they were piping hot, thin pastries and plenty of filling. The plates were value for money, plenty of food, the salads are great, the dips are spectacular and the meats are carve or chargrilled fresh. This is truly an institution not to be missed in Campbellfield.

Updating my review from below but I won’t change the rating stars …
I don’t like the Adana as I got 2 more times after my original review and Adana not cooked through middle is pink.
Also everything smells like the lamb shawrma I think the ladies serving don’t change or wash hand / gloves … like the salad and dips all smelt like the lamb shawrmA which is kinda turn off …
I thought it was one time only but happened this smell issue on 3 occasions after my original below good review ….
I learnt about this place from YouTube review vloggers the Islander guy and his Turkish mate I don’t know the name of Chanel or anything anyway the food was sooooo good
The dips were amazeballs
The portion sizes was excellent
They were quick
Clean
And price was great and really reasonable
I guess one downer is the fact they don’t have many sitting areas to sit but again I mean it is supposedly a take away but I felt I was sitting on hard chars and tables only down side but I’m still rating this place 5/5 ⭐️
Parking was a nightmare though

The adana wrap is perfect. There's literally no possible way they can make it any better than it is. The bread is equally as good as the meat! I drive 50 minutes just to get one and its well worth the drive
