First up, the matcha earl Grey latte was interesting. Not sure if my cup of tea ☕ 🤣 The chicken waffle was good however the greens salad could have had more flavour. It was fresh but bland. The Reuben was a pulled beef/brisket variant which was yum too!

The aesthetics of the restaurant were pleasing. The food however, was not. Firstly, they had forgotten our order and we had to wait about half an hour where four other tables had their food served to them (they arrived later than us). We asked as a reminder where our food was, yet the other tables were still getting served. Not a good first impression. We ordered the chilli scrambled eggs and fries. Honestly after a long wait, the food was very disappointing. The flavours of the chilli scrambled egg did not go well together; the chilli and the cream on top of the scrambled eggs were salty, and I was expecting some hints of sweetness which there wasn't. The roti bread underneath was too thick and not cooked properly. The fries were also not presented well, with the tomato sauce having a sour funky taste to it. Not worth the expensive $27 for the dish. I have yet to try other dishes but this was not a good first impression.

Came for a random sunday brunch. The chicken and waffles were really good. Maybe instead of normal honey- chilli oil or maybe a hot chilli honey would have made the dish 10/10. Hot chocolate was super rich and amazing. Definitely adding it to my list, to try out other options next time.

Went for my Oma’s birthday, sat outside in the sunshine 🌞 Birdie cup has yummy food and great atmosphere. The meal options are trendy variations of: “avocado on toast, French toast and eggs and bacon options”. Suits the audience around the area. Cute little coffee spot that locals might know about and joggers will pop by for a mactha 🥤☕️ Drinks are Japanese inspired and coffee is delicious. May have to ask for less garnish as there is a lot of dill and parsley 🌿 on the dishes. Besides that, happy to come again with good company 🍵🥄

It was a new cafe tryout today. We didn't want to travel far so we decided to test out BCE. The service was great. I had the chilli eggs and the Mrs had the chia bowl. The meals were ok. It would have been nicer to have chilly flakes and the meal and I'm not a fan of the base it comes with.
