A group of 10 consisting of kids, teens and adults visited for breakfast. Very comfortable and clean. We received excellent service, the servers helping to choose items for diverse tastes. They were attentive and quick, the food was beautifully presented and tasted great! Very reasonably priced too, costing only about 200$ for the whole group. Shoutout to the gentleman who was very attentive and brewed a complementary pot of tea! Great place, great people!

I recently visited Canteena in Gisborne and had such a wonderful experience. The food was fresh and delicious, loved their fritters, the chai latte was spot on, cocktails were yumm, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly, which made the visit even better. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed brunch or coffee spot in the area!

Had a lovely lunch with a big group of 14 at Canteena. The food was delicious, generous serves and well presented. The staff were very helpful. The menu is extensive and we had a wide range of dishes including seafood, steak, pasta and curries. All were excellent. They also had a wide range of desserts, very tasty and well presented. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

What a cute cafe/restaurant, we had a family dinner there and it was lovely. The staff were attentive and the food delicious, the only thing was the lighting was pretty glarry, a couple of us thought the same thing, other than that it was reasonably quiet at dinner time and we were all happy with the service and meals
