Aitken ThirtySix is a small cafe with some baked goods as optional accompaniments to the most amazing coffee you've ever had. The baristas are quick and friendly, the vibe is clean and chill. We had a couple of their Iced Mont Blancs. You will come here. And you will enjoy it.
Pros:
- Very well priced.
- Fast.
- Relaxing.
- Had a nice chat with the baristas.
- Literally the Mont Blanc iced coffee is one of the most delicious things I've ever had, the coffee was perfectly roasted and brewed, it was perfectly priced and it was infused with some fresh orange.
Cons:
- It closes at 2pm, it should be open 24/7.
In conclusion. It's peak. We literally got the coffee, left, drank it, came back and ordered two more. I don't know what else to say. Just go here, get the coffee, enjoy your life.

This little cafe is absolutely incredible and although not even remotely close to me and stumbled across entirely by accident while roadtripping I will 100% be back. The coffee was Devine and the baked goods were outstanding! The best cinnamon scroll I have ever eaten and the pistachio cruffin was magnificent. If I had of known how delicious they were going to be I would have taken photos for the review- next time I will be prepared to show them off :)

Best coffee in town!! Baristas never burn soy milk here. They also just started offering a specialty Matcha drink which is honestly the best quality I've had outside of Japan 🍵 🫶 Beats Melbourne cafes any day. Cheers guys~

Great coffee, wholesome, locally sourced food ingredients. Lovely owner and friendly staff. I know Gisborne has no shortage of cafes but Aitken ThirtySix has definitely become a favourite. Worth a stop if visiting (:

Great coffee, very friendly staff, my only complaint is the background music is so ridiculously boring it killed my mood.
Will try across the road next time, hopefully they will be playing something from this century.
