i was reluctant to try roger roger, as there have been mixed reviews about it but decided to give it a go.
i'm genuinely surprised and pleased with my experience, i guess it might depend on the day you visit but i had a good one.
i ordered the lamb prosciutto focaccia, birria melt, oat iced matcha and a mixed juice.
the lamb focaccia was our fav out of the two sandwiches. it was light, fresh and the bread was perfectly soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. the fig jam created the perfect balance to the savouriness of every other aspect but i do think that there could've been an acidic/spicy factor added to elevate the sandwich, like picked chilli's. overall 10/10 would buy again!
as for the birria melt, it was meh. the bread was goo, the idea is great but it was just kinda of salty and underwhelming, it lacks a lot of body and umami flavours. 4/10 for me :(
no notes on the juice, fresh and tasty! 8/10
and lastly the matcha, i was happy with mine. there's lots of people here complaining about it but it's decent matcha for the local area. it's also unsweetened, which might be the reason why people aren't liking it, so maybe people don't really like matcha, they like sweetness...? lmao but 8/10 for me.
so if you're more of a light and refreshing food consumer, get their focaccias! hits the spot for a pretty decent sandwich

Between the NY pastrami & the Breaky Focaccia, the NY pastrami was the stronger candidate. ⭐
1. Flavours were more complex. The mustard and tanginess of the pickles offset the savouriness of the pastrami & the saltiness of the bread. Combined with the creaminess of the mozzarella! Visually, I also liked the rosy pink colour of the pastrami. 🌷
2. The focaccia was massive! I really wanted it for the hash brown, and it delivered. Flavours weren't as complex, but the NY pastrami set a high standard. 🤭
3. We struggled to finish the focaccia after devouring half of the NY Pastrami each.
🤞 I would try out more 'melts' next time.
🎮 A bit of a hunger games situation when trying to get a table. You can hedge your bets and awkwardly hover for a table, and we were lucky to catch a couple leaving!
▶️ Ordering in store is seamless. They give you a buzzer that goes off when your order is ready so you don't need to hover by the front door.
ORDERED:
🥪 NY Pastrami: Pastrami, dijon mustard, pickles, mozzarella, swiss cheese ($19.00)
🥪 Roger Breaky foccaccia: smashed avocado, tomato relish, egg beef bacon, hash brown, american cheddar cheese ($15.80)
This was $35.43 / $17.72pp between 2.

Amazing deli to have on this side of the city, staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The portion sizes are very generous with half a sandwich being more than enough to satisfy. The chicken cotoletta is amazing, would recommend adding chili oil and cheese to it too. Overall an amazing space, making amazing food with amazing staff, highly recommend!

Have been at Roger Roger a few times, the mushroom Truffle sandwich is a killer for me.
Food is always fresh and made to order. The coffee isn't my favourite but it's still good.
Give them a try guys, you won't be disappointed.

The focccoia was delicious 😋,it had nice flavours with the grilled vegetables. The balsamic vinegar was abit overpowering for my liking. The ice coffee was strong with a good balance of milk and ice.Tiramusu was amazing wasn't very sweet.
The food, drinks and dessets are slightly pricey but well worth it. I Would definitely come again to try different items on the menu!!
