This review is on the McCafe staff member on at 5:20-5:30 today. The girl who took our order through the drive thru was so nice and sounded a bit new.
I wish I could give the service 0 stars. The McCafe staff member was the nastiest girl. As a former hospitality worker and current retail worker, this was appalling and a disgusting way to behave towards customers.
We ordered in the drive thru, one of the screens is messed up and unreadable. The girl seemed new-ish but she got our order correct (or so we thought). We went to pay, checked the order over quickly and it seemed correct. Didn't get a receipt however. Rolled up to collect drinks and my partner asks "Which drink is this?" And the McCafe worker looked at him like he was asking a stupid question "ICED chai latte". Next hands him a Hot Latte. We had repeated in the drive thru speaker saying "iced latte".
Her response to him saying "oh, I order an iced latte"
"Did you read the screen before you paid?" She buggers off to go check/fix the drink. Comes back, hands it to us and goes "Next time check the screens before you pay" and slams the window in his face.
And all this interactions caught on dashcam. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Shit happens, orders get processed wrong, things are said wrong. Just move along and correct the mistake. Hell, we would've paid the difference if the order did in fact go through wrong and was taken incorrectly. If you hate your job that much, please quit.

kyah was really helpful, got me my order. the look from the inside was really good. NOT much dirt seats clean and the tables clean. We sat down and we got out order. the food was great. I am coming back again!

Dear McDonald’s Knoxfield Management Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your Knoxfield store on Ferntree Gully Road at around 8:30 a.m. this morning.
I ordered a soy chai latte, but my coffee was not served correctly. When I went back into the store to have it replaced, the manager on duty and a staff member discussed the issue. During this interaction, the manager told me to “listen properly,” implying that I had misheard the order. I found this comment very disrespectful and insulting.
As someone who has lived in Australia for 17 years and works in a professional job, I speak English fluently. The issue was not that I didn’t listen properly—it was that the order was not communicated clearly by the staff. It is also not my responsibility as a customer to ensure that orders are served correctly.
I left the store feeling humiliated and believe the way I was spoken to may have been influenced by my appearance and background. This experience has made me feel unwelcome and disrespected.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter seriously and provide a response regarding how this situation will be addressed.

Overall, I have been here lots of times and have had positive experiences and always order custom orders adjusting my burger 🍔 but half the time they get it wrong 😑 meaning I have to go back inside to tell the people working at the front a few times the manager has gotten angry 😡 and but always replaced. The toilets and clean 🧼 and modern. The tables are clean but often find people’s leftover lettuce on the and the floor. Overall it is a nice modern McDonald’s but needs better customer service 👍

Hi, Mcd management team. I am just writing to inform you the misbehaviour i have experience by your manager only. I arrived at the store at around 10:20pm via drivethru as the walk in was closed. There was heavy rain at that moment. I am not coming to the Mcd for the first time. The manager was very rude while handling the order. I don’t know why. She was already looking very upset, if your mood is off and you can’t handle customer service you should stay at home instead of talking rude to the customers. I will really appreciate if you guys will take any action against that particular lady. Very upset from the experience, not at all expected from McDonalds.
