We had an awesome birthday celebration dinner here. The 3 course set menu had decent variety. Entrees were ok, a bit unusual but tasty. The mains (both porterhouse steak) were good too. Cooked well. The regular porterhouse only has a marble score 2 but was cooked well enough and tender on the inside. For dessert we had the cheese platter and a cheesecake. Both were outstanding.
Our waiter Michael was really good with everything. He made us feel welcome and at ease. Nothing was too much trouble.

One of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. Highly recommend! We surprised my friend with a birthday lunch on the 4th January and we had the most wonderful service. I believe our server's name was Sarah, and she was incredible. From the beginning she surprised our birthday girl with a glass of champagne then she continued to check in on us to make sure we were having a great time. Our server had the most beautiful energy and attitude which made us all feel well taken care of and very special. She had great knowledge of the menu and lots of great recommendations as well so on top of the amazing service, the food and drinks were delicious. Thank you so much to Sarah and Balgownie Estate for a memory we will cherish for a very long time!

This is our second year celebrating our anniversary at Balgownie and there’s a reason we keep coming back. Food is amazing, but more importantly service is always top notch. Tonight we were served by Sarah and she was nothing short of amazing. Accomodating, great communication and was also super lovely with our baby who tagged along. Wines pair beautifully with the food and we were even treated to some complimentary bubbles- always a lovely touch. No doubt we will be back again next year.

We stopped here , part of our wine tour , we did not go to the restaurant area .. the wine tasting were good , small amount in your glass ..our waiter guide Phil was very good explaining everything.. I enjoyed tasting a red bubbly wine , first time .. scenery and flowers are beautiful.. they also offer accommodation on site and they advertise special events like Christmas Eve dinner etc..

The food was delicious and the service we received from Jasmine and Grace was exceptional. We were extremely pleased by the flavour combinations and freshness and quality of all our dishes, the portion sizes were also extremely generous and we left very very full! I think the 3 course menu is very good value and we will definitely be returning.
