Had lunch here yesterday. Literally located up a lane way off the main street. Can sit inside, in the lane or up the back undercover. Eclectic and interesting decor and ambience. Mexican menu. Friendly and helpful service. Enjoyed our meals. Reasonable prices.

OMG!! Parked across the road and saw this little place and thought “why not?” Man I am glad I convinced the wife, so is she! The only disappointment was that they ran out of jalapeños poppers 😥

The Laneway is a little hidden gem in Healesville – a cosy café restaurant serving up truly authentic Mexican food. The flavours are incredible and every dish tastes fresh, vibrant, and full of character. The service is just as impressive – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The space inside is quite small, so it can feel a little cramped when it’s busy, but that just adds to the buzzing atmosphere. I haven’t yet had the chance to enjoy the bar garden outside, but it looks like a beautiful spot to relax with a drink and meal, and it’s definitely on the list for next time. If you’re after flavour-packed, authentic Mexican food in the Yarra Valley with excellent service, The Laneway is well worth a visit.

Tucked away in a small alley, this charming shop was a pleasant surprise. We ordered a mocha and a hot chocolate—both were smooth, rich, and expertly made. I especially loved how they transformed the alley space into a beautiful, casual seating area. It gave the place a warm and inviting vibe. We’ll definitely be back to try the food next time.
